Macktown hosts farm animal program on Sunday

ROCKTON - As part of its second Sunday programming series, Macktown Living History Education Center, 2221 Freeport Road, Rockton, presents Farm Animals Sunday from 2-4 p.m. this Sunday.

This free event will be enjoyable for all ages. Visitors can get up close and personal with the farm animals typical of an 1800's settlement. Reenactors will share how these animals were cared for and used in daily life.

The Macktown Historic Site, located at Macktown Forest Preserve, is the site of the oldest settlement in Winnebago County.
