Beverly and Harold Bertelsen

Beverly (nee Boehler) and Harold Bertelsen, of Beloit, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a dance party from 3-6 p.m. on Oct. 14 at Palpable's Pub, 128 S. Bluff Road, South Beloit.

The couple were married on Oct. 10, 1953 in Racine. They met while working at Woolworth's and on their first date, went roller-skating.

They both enjoy dancing and ping pong; and continued roller-skating until they were 73 years old.

Harold worked at Beloit Carpet and Beverly was employed at Hormel before they both retired in 1994. They have eight children and many grandchildren.
