SOUTH BELOIT - The South Beloit Library, 630 Blackhawk Blvd., has several programs planned for the month of October.
For adults, every Tuesday is "Treat Yourself Tuesday" with an adult activity planned from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. "Bring Your Own Craft" (B.Y.O.C.) takes place From 6-7:30 p.m. on Oct. 29, where crafters can make new friends while they work on knitting, scrapbooking, needlework, etc. The adult bookclub will meet at 9 a.m. on Friday to discuss "The Necklace" by Claire McMillan. The sci-fi/fantasy bookclub meets on Oct. 13 to discuss "Altered Carbon" by Richard K. Morgan.
For little ones, Storytime is held on Fridays at 10 a.m. for ages 3 and older, or Thursdays at 10 a.m. for those ages 3 and under. Saturday Storytime is held on Oct. 20 and children are encouraged to wear costumes that day.
Kids in grades 5-8, can participate in "Middle School Makers" held after school every Friday until 4:45 p.m. where a variety of crafts, STEM and community projects will be featured.
The teen bookclub will meet at the South Beloit High School in room 308 from 3:45-4:45 p.m. on Oct. 24. Snacks will be provided.
