'Continue with Republican path'

Print Article

What a path our Ssate has taken since 2010. With Democrat Governor Doyle in 2010 we had 9.3% unemployment, falling wages, businesses closing, GDP falling, consumer confidence index below 60, home foreclosures, $1.3 billion taken from the Transportation fund for general State operations, increasing taxes, and our state was still mired with a budget deficit of $5.4 billion.

You had to deal with this mentally depressing economic situation under the rule of the Democratic Party which was in total control of your state government. They gave you high taxes, debt, less money for infrastructure, state employee furloughs, and declining government services.

Today you can look back at the path traveled with Republicans since 2011. In the private sector an unheard of 2.8% unemployment, more jobs then there are people to fill them, GDP growth of 4.2%, rising incomes, consumer confidence index of 100+, businesses now moving into Wisconsin, and lower taxes. Our state continues on the path of budget surpluses now reaching $715 million, $785 million more for education that is going directly into the class room, no state employee furloughs, $400 million more for roads, and all done with lower tax rates. As you know, this was done with our state government totally controlled by the Republicans.

The statistics clearly show which party has delivered excellent government services, more economic growth, and lower taxes. I am voting this election to stay on the positive Republican path. Tell me which path will you chose this election.
